The Center

*Not an easy message to receive. But a timely one. These are dark days and my focus needs to shift.

I chose David to be king of my people. So, did he immediately become king and all was easy? No. He was hated by Saul, whom he served well. He had to flee as Saul tried to have him murdered. His best friend was killed in battle. He spent years and years in exile from his home. As you know, later his own child would try to murder him and take over his kingship. Yet, as stated before, I chose him. Your life has not been easy. You have suffered loss upon loss upon loss. Yet, I still love you. I have still chosen you to be my child and to be my ambassador in this lost world. I know your heart is heavy and grieving. I know you have turned to things of this world to give you comfort. Yet, it has not worked. Turn to me. Only to me. Get back to the things that brought you peace and joy: praying, study, journaling, hiking, taking care of the birds. Learn to garden. Trust me for money. Get rid of all that stuff. Make room for me. For my plans for you. For my gifts to you. You have filled every crack and crevice in your life – in your heart – with useless things and activities. Empty it all out. I want to be the center again.

I love the Lord. I love my Country. I read His Word and write any message I may receive. These posts are those messages, which I obediently publish here. Many of these messages speak directly to our current political and social conditions. I pray that these words will speak to you as they have to me - admonishing, encouraging, guiding, informing, strengthening your faith.
