Jeremiah 31:29-30. “The people will no longer quote this proverb: ‘The parents have eaten sour grapes, but their children’s mouths pucker at the taste.’ All the people will die for their own sins – those who eat the sour grapes will be the ones whose mouths will pucker.”
There will be difficult times. It has already begun. There is much that is happening now and will continue that will cause harm, sadness, injury, even physical death – both to my children and those who choose to live outside my protection. Much that is here now and to come is due to the sins of others, but all will suffer the earthly consequences. This promise, however, stands true. The death spoken of is that which matters – the death of the soul. The second death – the death of the spirit. Your life – and death – on the earthly plane is not what is spoken of here. It is your eternal life – and the death that will occur to those who reject me, who choose lives of sin and dedication to your enemy. Those will suffer the second death. I tell you this to remind you that, though all that is occurring in your life on earth is difficult, painful, often unfair – it is not what truly matters and it will end. It is not forever. It is but for a time – until you come home to me – where you will live eternally – away from all that is evil. Eyes on me. I will see you through.
