Jeremiah 5:14-17 Therefore, this is what the lord of Heaven’s Armies says: “Because the people are talking like this, my messages will flame out of your mouth and burn the people like kindling wood. O Israel, I will bring a distant nation against you,” says the Lord. “It is a mighty nation, an ancient nation, a people whose language you do not know, whose speech you cannot understand. Their weapons are deadly; their warriors are mighty. They will devour the food of your harvest; they will devour your sons and daughters. They will devour your flocks and herds; they willl devour your grapes and figs. And they will destroy your fortified towns, which you think are so safe.”
Do you not see? My children do not fear attack from other nations, as you in your land have grown so secure in your might and power and ability to defend yourselves. But the nation of which I speak is not a human, earthly power. Your enemies are of the spiritual realm. Your enemies are the enemy of ancient times and all of his minions. Your enemies are unseen by your human eyes, unheard by your human ears, unfelt by your human senses. Only those who are spiritually alive, spiritually aware, in tune with my Holy Spirit can see, hear and feel them. You are one of those. You understand that the enemies that are destroying you and your Nation and your people are demons, gods of the underworld, those that you invite into your minds, your hearts, your homes. How? Through what you listen to, what you read, what you watch, what you think. Through your rejection of Me, My Word, My commands. Through your sin – especially when sinning knowingly. You fear man-made weapons without acknowledging or fearing the real weapons that will destroy you completely – eternally. Fear the weapons that taint your mind, soul and spirit. Fear the weapons that draw you away from Me. Fear the weapons that will lead you into eternal separation from Me. You try to warn your fellows, but they do not listen. Do not be discouraged, Child. Keep speaking Truth. Keep praying for them. Keep looking to Me to save. I hear you.
